Disha Eye Hospitals, the largest eye care chain in Eastern India, has become the first-ever eye hospital in West Bengal to participate in the 48th International Kolkata Book Fair. The hospital aims to highlight the importance of good vision for reading and the connection between eye health and overall well-being.

Disha Eye Hospitals is organizing a voluntary AI-based diabetic retinopathy screening for bibliophiles and an eye donation awareness campaign to promote Cornea Donation and its potential to save millions of lives from losing their precious vision.

Disha Eye Hospitals offers free AI-driven Diabetic Retinopathy Screening at the IKBF 2025 to address diabetes-related eye complications and promote early detection for effective management.

The hospital also launched an eye donation awareness campaign, partnering with Prova Eye Bank, the largest Cornea collection organization in Eastern India, to raise awareness about the necessity of eye donation. Both initiatives aim to address the growing concern of diabetes-related eye complications.

The organization is encouraging young generations to contribute to the Cornea project by pledging and donating Cornea, which provides vision to two living bodies. Over 150 people have submitted Eye Donation Pledge Forms, and officials from the Police, Fire department, and Bomb Squad unit have been given special attention for their tireless effort and dedication towards the welfare of visually challenged persons.

Disha Eye Hospitals has successfully participated in the International Kolkata Book Fair, combining healthcare services, community outreach, and public engagement. By integrating eye health initiatives with literature celebration, Disha has demonstrated its commitment to community well-being in an innovative and impactful manner.
