Actor-producer Kan Singh Sodha under his production banner KSS Production and Entertainment Pvt Ltd announced his next film titled 8/12.

The film was announced in the presence of the director Arun Roy along with the cast of the film consisting of Kinjal Nanda, Arna Mukherjee, Sumon Bose-Remoo, Bipasha Saha, and Anushka Chakraborty.

After the successful production of films like Thammar Boyfriend, Bharam, Swad Anusar, and Shrimati, Kan Singh Sodha will be presenting this patriotic film for the audiences titled 8/12.

The idea for making this film is to pay homage to India’s freedom which turns 75 next year.

The film will show the struggle of freedom fighters- Binay, Badal, and Dinesh. Binay Krishna Basu, Badal Gupta, and Dinesh Gupta are the revolutionary fighters who have contributed immensely to the freedom struggle.

On 8 December 1930, Binoy along with Badal and Dinesh Chandra Gupta, dressed in European costume, entered the Writers’ Building and shot dead Simpson.

Arun Roy – Director of the movie who amazed the audience with ‘Egaro’, ‘Cholai’, ‘Hiralal’ is again ready to cast his spell over this period film.

The entire team has already started their research on the topic. Kinjal Nanda, Arna Mukhopadhyay, Suman Bose-Remoo will be seen in the role of Binay, Badal, and Dinesh in the film.

The music of the film will be composed by Mayuk-Mainak.

The cinematographer Gopi Bhagat is the DOP, Sabarni Das will be in charge of costume and the film will be edited by Sanglap Bhowmik.

Tanmoy Chakraborty is the production designer of the film.

Director Arun Roy thanked Mr. Kan Singh Sodha for producing the film. He said “He has helped us in many ways that we cannot express in words. The film will remind you of the contribution of the freedom fighters towards the freedom of the country. Binay-Badal-Dinesh is still remembered for their valor and bravery. However, not many of us are aware of the background of the incident”.

The film surely looks promising and will be a great tribute to the freedom fighters who have done so much for the freedom of India.
