Full Details Of East Zone Vice Chancellors Conference 2024-2025


The East Zone Vice Chancellors Conference 2024-2025 has been announced by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), a pillar of Indian higher education since its founding in 1925. H.E. Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, will inaugurate the esteemed event on March 18, 2025, and JIS University will host it in Kolkata on March 18 and 19.
An early look at what is expected to be a major assembly of academic leaders from Eastern India was provided at the press conference.

This year’s East Zone Vice Chancellors Conference theme, “Equity, Diversity & Sustainability” speaks to the need for environmental sustainability in India’s higher education sector while highlighting the growing emphasis on developing an inclusive and accessible educational ecosystem. This theme supports AIU’s mission to foster scholarly cooperation. Vice Chancellors from more than 100 universities across East India will attend the two-day conference.
Leaders will have a vital platform to discuss creative projects and tactics that can further the goals of sustainability and inclusivity in higher education at this event.
In addition to promoting responsible growth and development, their emphasis on equity, diversity, and sustainability ensures that the educational landscape changes to accommodate the needs of all students, regardless of background. The two-day event will include many significant sessions that will address the pressing need for sustainability in the curriculum, campus development, and societal outreach while also examining the role that educational institutions can play in fostering diversity and inclusivity.
