The premiere of the much-awaited film Mayaa took place in the presence of the entire cast and crew of the film.

The cast cut a cake at the premiere to mark the release of this film.

The main themes of the movie Mayaa, directed by Raajhorshee De and based on the play Macbeth, are greed, ambition, sin, and corruption. The movie conveys the concept of how each character’s behavior was motivated by ambition, greed, heartlessness, and the desire for total power through the use of multiple characters and subplots inside the main plot. This is the first-ever Bengali film adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

This film’s cast consists of Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Tanusree Chakraborty, Richa Sharma, Koneenica Banerjee, Sudipta Chakraborty, Ranieeta Dash, Ratasree Dutta, Devlina Kumar, Sudiptaa Banerjee, Sayantani Guhathakuta, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Gourab Chatterjee, Rahul Arunoduoy Banerjee, Anindya Chatterjee, Ishan Mazumder, Rohit Banerjee, Ashim Roy Chowdhury, and Kan Singh Sodha.

The film is presented by DSR Entertainment House and produced by Debdas Banerjee and Rohit Banerjee.

Guests like Madan Mitra, Srijit Mukherji, and others also graced the premiere of this film.
