Godrej Pledged To Plant 1250 Trees As Part Of Its Pan-Indian Go Green Initiative

In the middle of June, Godrej celebrated its 125th anniversary. And to mark the occasion, the company launched its pan-Indian “Go Green” initiative, pledging to plant up to 1250 trees outside the Godrej offices.  And this was a move and an effort in the direction of CSR. Godrej has a reputation for upholding the law, and the company has undertaken numerous eco-friendly CSR activities initiatives in the past, of which this is one. This is at a massive scale, involving Pan India and Pan 30 odd places. The company made the decision to plant 1250 trees throughout the nation.

The branch is led by the Branch Commercial Manager – Mr. Irfan Wadood. Team Leaders – Sr. Manager Administration– Mr. Sumit Kandulna, Chief manager – Customer Support   Mr. Ali Imam, Sr. Manager  Logistics: Mr. Mandeep Banerjee in association with BMC team head Mrs. Rahima Bibi, Honourable Mayor In Council graced the occasion.

Branch Employees Soumen Sinha, Soumick Mukherjee, Shouvik Das, and Debabrata Pandit also played important roles in the activity.

Each branch enthusiastically took part.

The Company has carried out these actions here at the Kolkata branch.

Additionally, the Company took part in two phases. In accordance with Phase One, the Company planted up to 50 odd trees in the Godrej facilities, the branch office in Salt Lake Sector 5, and the distribution center in Junglepore (JGP) on the occasion of World Environment Day.

And the Company coordinated with the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation on, June 15, as part of phase two. The Company partnered with BMC and then chose a few areas close to Saltlake Sector 5 Metro Station where, on June 15, 2022, Godrej team members and BMC team members could successfully plant up to 130 or so plants outside Godrej Premises by our Commercial Department. Mangoes, Amla, and other plants were among the variety.
