Najariyaa, a musical film by Abhishek Basu , was launched in the presence of Sudipta Chakraborty, Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya, Anindo Sarkar, Anindita Sarkar, Debadyuti Debnath, and others.

Abhishek Basu, who is the director of the film was present along with Tanni Chaudhuri, who is the main protagonist of the film, Faiz Khan, Model and actor Debarun Swaraj, fashion designer Tejas Gandhi, producer Hemant Marda, Santoor Exponent Chiradip Sarkar, pianist Avik Ganguly and the whole crew of the film.

Tanni Chaudhuri who is herself a reputed Kathak dancer plays the character of Maharani Sugandha, and the director has portrayed her in both younger and older looks in the film.

The music is directed by Abhishek Basu, the sound is produced by Avik Ganguly, and santoor is played by Chiradip Sarkar and sung by Ivy Banerjee.

The musical film has already got a few international festival nominations like Golden Earth Film Awards (Texas, USA), One Earth Awards (Bangalore), Lift off film festival Paris, Milan Gold Awards (Italy), New York Movie Awards (New York, USA), Direct Monthly Online Film Festival (USA). The film received awards from Special jury mention in Dada Saheb Film Festival Award (India), American Track Music Awards, Texas Short Film Festival, Sweden Film Awards, and Virgin Spring Cinefest. Najariyaa got 2 awards from the Indian online film festival and Bharat independent film festival.
