More than just a celebration, Durga Puja is a feeling that unites generations with devotion, custom, and creativity. In collaboration with Support Elders, an organization run by former Indian Army officers that offers complete assistance to senior persons in South Kolkata, Desun Hospital organized Desun Puja Parikrama 2025 to make sure that senior citizens too enjoy the spirit of puja.

Senior citizens were given a guided tour of South Kolkata’s most famous puja pandals as part of this effort. Bosepukur Sitala Mandir, Hindustan Park, Ballygunge Cultural Association, Samajsebi Sangha, and Rajdanga Naba Uday Sangha were all visited during the ceremonial departure from Desun Hospital. Throughout the course, participants were escorted by an ambulance and a medical staff to guarantee their total safety and comfort.

At Rajdanga Naba Uday Sangha, the celebrations came to an end with a felicitation ceremony honoring the senior participants for their tenacity, insight, and priceless services to society.

The programme was graced by Smt. Bidisha Kalita Dasgupta, IPS, Deputy Commissioner (South Suburban Division), Kolkata Police, as the Chief Guest, along with the Officers-in-Charge of Kasba Police Station, Kasba Traffic Guard, and Gariahat Police Station.

“Durga Puja is a celebration of togetherness, and our elders are the true keepers of tradition. We want them to feel safe, appreciated, and cared for while reliving the festive mood with the same enthusiasm as younger generations through Desun Puja Parikrama. We are honoring their position at the center of our life by taking this journey,” said Ms. Shaoli Dutta, CEO of Desun Hospital.
