The Astor Kolkata had its much-anticipated Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at its quaint outdoor café and bar, Deck 88, adding to the festive mood.

Customers, visitors, hotel friends, and the Astor crew came together for the yearly celebration for an evening that embodied coziness, camaraderie, and the joy of the season.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Kobat, General Manager, The Astor Kolkata, highlighted the importance of the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony while providing details on the hotel’s Christmas and New Year’s plans. He pointed out that the occasion reinforces the principles at the core of Christmas by providing a chance to stop, celebrate unity, and give back to the community. Soulful Christmas carol singing filled the air with joy and nostalgia as the evening progressed, further elevating the festive mood.

For the event, Deck 88 was exquisitely decorated with sophisticated Christmas décor, which created a mystical atmosphere as dusk approached. The area came to life with seasonal happiness thanks to the combination of soft lighting, festive decorations, and the outdoor atmosphere, which created the ideal setting for an evening of celebration.

Deck 88’s excellent bar served guests a well-chosen assortment of festive drinks, such as cozy hot chocolate with marshmallows on top, fragrant mulled wine filled with oranges and spices, and cool orange mocktails. Throughout the evening, attendees could enjoy a range of flavors thanks to an intriguing buffet of bite-sized vegetarian and non-vegetarian treats that matched the drinks.

Each guest received a Christmas cake as a takeaway, giving them a delightful memento of the evening and adding a considerate personal touch to the festivities.
