The British Deputy High Commission in Kolkata announced the Great Sports Tech Summit, a revolutionary seminar. This unique event, co-hosted by NASSCOM, aimed to highlight the UK’s crucial position as a global leader in the sports industry while shedding light on the nexus between technology and sports.
The event took place at a boutique hotel in Salt Lake, and aimed to explore the creative ways that technology is transforming the sports environment by bringing together thought leaders, industry professionals, and important stakeholders.
There were interesting keynote addresses and panel discussions that explored several facets of technology in sports, including wearables, virtual reality, data analytics, and artificial intelligence’s role in sports. Experts discussed how these developments are affecting player performance, fan interaction, and the sports industry as a whole.
“The seminar aligns with the UK’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in the sports industry. The occasion will stimulate future partnerships and developments in the exciting field of sports technology, in addition to commemorating the UK’s accomplishments. If more Indian and British businesses could look at joint venture options, that would make me very happy” said Dr. Andrew Fleming, the British Deputy High Commissioner to Kolkata.
There were many networking chances during the event for attendees to meet other professionals who share their interests, share ideas, and consider possible joint ventures. Representatives from IT firms and the sports industry were the main participants.
