Marking over six decades of academic excellence, the J.D. Birla Institute (JDBI) hosted its 11th Graduation Congregational Ceremony for the 2024–2025 session. The event celebrated the achievements of hundreds of students from the departments of Management, Commerce, and Sciences, further cementing the institute’s reputation as a premier center for higher learning in eastern India.

The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Jadavpur University, to which the institute is affiliated. Adding a touch of literary distinction to the event, noted author Dr. Kunal Basu attended as the Guest of Honour.

The graduation was a testament to the institute’s rigorous academic standards. According to official figures:

 * 512 students appeared for the session exams.

 * 446 students passed with high honors, resulting in an impressive 87.11% success rate.

 * 479 degrees were conferred during the ceremony by the Vice-Chancellor.

In a highlight of the proceedings, the college recognized its top performers with prestigious awards. Ten students who excelled in their respective disciplines were awarded University Gold Medals. Additionally, the management provided six Sushila Devi Memorial Gold Medals to students demonstrating exceptional merit.

Since being granted the authority to conduct its own convocation in 2015, JDBI has used this platform to showcase its diverse curriculum, which spans Food Science & Nutrition, Textiles & Fashion Technology, Interior Designing, and Human Development. With a current student strength of 1,348, the institute continues to attract talent from across West Bengal and neighboring states, consistently ranking high among its peers.

The ceremony concluded with a sense of pride as the new graduates prepared to enter the professional world, backed by the legacy of an institution with a 63-year history of educational service.

The 11th Graduation Congregational Ceremony was held at the Vidya Mandir Auditorium.
