Harmony Brunch To Be Organized Every Sunday At Re-Launched Vedic
With the re-launch of Vedic, The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat has started a journey to explore our origins. Every Sunday, the hotel will host the “Harmony Brunch” at Vedic.
With textured bamboo on the ceiling and walls decorated with ancient Indian art and engraved shlokas, Vedic immediately transports visitors to a different time and place. The preserved wood flooring combines a traditional aesthetic with a modern sensibility.
In the center of the restaurant is an interactive showcase kitchen with a stone façade. One distinctive aspect of the restaurant is the vertical hydroponic herb and spice garden that the chefs use to prepare their delectable feast. Three collections—spring, summer, and winter—of food have been developed by the talented in-house culinary team using the best seasonal ingredients. Every dish reflects the meticulous research of their culinary artists and is inspired by a different location. Vedic will serve freshly prepared meals every day, just like at home – “HOMELY,” as an ingredient-driven restaurant. There will be no use of artificial or synthetic food products, in keeping with the hotel’s philosophy to offer lasting comfort through food, beyond a quick sensory fix
The dishes represent ancient cooking techniques, forgotten grains, and seasonal vegetables. Some of the dishes include ‘Harit Rasam’,’Chenna Roast, Torai Cutlet with Bhappa Aloo’, ‘Organic Seed Moong Bhalle’, ‘Dhungari Tarkari’, ‘Daal Vedic’, ‘Kaache Ghadeka Saag served with breads, ‘Bajre Ka Roti’, ‘Mushroom Kulcha’, ‘Makki di Roti’ and the ‘Vedic Pulao’.
Based on the primary idea of the restaurant, Vedic mixologists have created a variety of flavorful drinks using a combination of traditional Indian ingredients, shrubs, spices, and artisanal spirits. The menu includes options like “Malabari Chai,” “Kaumaon Cup,” “Peru Payala,” and many more. The lavish spread is appropriately concluded with an intriguing dessert menu that includes items like “Puran Poli,” “Lahori Gajjar,” and numerous other healthy sweets like “Berry Phirni,” “Aamras,” and “Sonawar ki Barfi.”
