The story is about Raghav who lives in ashram far away from Kolkata and lives with other inmates. Orphaned children also live with them and study in the school within the premises of the Ashram. Panchabhuj follows the trail of Raghav’s Stream of Consciousness. He creates a kaleidoscope of content taking elements available around him, his studies, and his imagination.
Abhishek Chatterjee received the Best Actor award at the Port Blair International Film Festival. The certificate was awarded to the late actor’s wife and daughter by Arijit Dutta.
Trina Saha who had worked with Abhishek Chatterjee in a serial Khorkuto was present at the event. She said “I called him Daddy and not Mithu da on the sets of the serial. He used to love to eat. And whenever he did not like something that he brought from home, he used to give money to buy mutton and cook it on the sets of the serial. He always used to say that he wanted Saina to grow up and become like me. Maybe he told it out of love for me. He was always my Daddy and he will always remain so”.
The actress also added that Abhishek Chatterjee told her to enjoy her life with her husband as life is a short journey.
Dulal Lahiri who had acted in many films and serials with the late actor said “I have been beaten by him in so many films. I have acted in many serials with him and we often shared the same room. It is then that I got to understand him more as a person. He has a degree of innocence about him that he had retained even after working for so many years in the industry”.
The late actor’s wife Sanjukta said “There are many rumors going around in the media. But I will let you all know that they are lies. Nobody has provided us with any financial help. And we do not need it. My husband has secured us financially and I also work with a foreign-based institution. It is hard to imagine life without my husband. However, I will have to go on for our daughter Saina”.
Presented by Shree de L’Art, the script and story of the film are by Rana Banerjee.
The film is eyeing for release soon.
