Head To KCC To Enjoy 2 Amazing Exhibitions Till 30th September
Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC) organized a retrospective-scale exhibition of master Lalit Mohan Sen. The exhibition’s name is Lalit Mohan Sen: An Enduring Legacy and will run till 30th September at the Ground Floor, Emami Art.
This exhibition features archival materials and artworks from various phases of the life of the artist. The artist was a contemporary of Asit Kumar Haldar and Mukul Dey. He was among the four artists the Government of India chose to decorate the India House in London in 1930. He worked in mediums like oil and tempera paintings, graphic prints, and book cover illustrations.
The other exhibition inaugurated was The Dream of an Idiot by Sibaprasad Karchaudhuri and will continue till 30th September on the Ground Floor, Emami Art.
The exhibition showcased artworks from different phases of his productive career that span over forty years. The artist has developed a unique abstract language. He was attracted to abstract art early in his life. His works can be differentiated from the experiment with elementary forms and the use of amazing colors.
