Hemanter Aparanha’s trailer launch was unveiled by Ashoke Viswanathan, Director, Rwitobroto Mukherjee, Actor, Anusha Viswanathan, Actress, Satyapriya Mukhopadhyay, Actor, Amit Agarwal, Producer.

The movie, which was filmed in and around Kolkata, is set in the present COVID-19 pandemic and delves into the inner workings of the theatrical industry and the challenges artists face. The narrative’s central theme is investigating how individuals see their relationships with the behind-the-scenes activities in movies and theatres. Another important issue of this film is the relationship between anxiety depression and suicides in recent times.

Ashok Vishwanathan, Director & Producer of Hemanter Aparanha said “The story of this movie will keep you interested throughout, asking questions like life after retirement, life after death, desire and despair, and how today’s youth are adjusting to a world that is changing rapidly thanks to technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. The frightening aftermath of the conflict and shutdown in Gaza and Ukraine is visible in the background. Together with myself, filmmaker Amit Agarwal has organized this presentation. Amit working for me again as a trailer editor after a long absence makes me happy as well. He previously edited my award-winning documentaries and movie trailers with me. The Hemanter Aparanha trailer looks fantastic”.

Anusha Viswanathan said “This is a special film for me as I worked with my father for the first time. The story is different and I got to work in such an amazing film. The response at the Kolkata Film Festival was amazing with people sitting on the stairs to watch the film. I hope the same kind of love is showered when the film releases in theatres”.

The music is composed by Gourab Chatterjee with songs by Lokhichara.

The cinematography is by Joydeep Bhowmick, and the editing is by Arghyakamal Mitra.
