The 21st annual assessment and cultural program of NADAM will be held this year on November 8 and 9, 2025, at Mohit Moitro Mancho, Tala Park, Paikpara, in honor of Acharya Biswanath Bose and Bidushi Bharati Bose. This was stated by Pt. Kumar Bose, the president of NADAM, a tabla maestro and composer from the Benaras Gharana tradition, and a Sangeet Natok Academy Awardee.

The two-day music festival will be dedicated to Dada Guru Padmabibhushan Pandit Kishan Maharaj.

The “Samkshe Siksh Samiksha” assessment program, which was launched during this event in front of a live audience to evaluate the progress that the students have made over the course of a calendar year, is a unique initiative that is not only transparent but also gives the students more confidence to pursue their musical careers.

Pandit Kumar Bose, a Sangeet Natak Academy Awardee and the foremost tabla player in the Benaras Gharana tradition, was born on April 4, 1953. He started performing in public at the age of four and traveled overseas at the age of fourteen.

He is well-known for his unique and flamboyant style of playing without sacrificing the traditional purity of his art form.

He has been recognized and honored at home with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, which he received in 2007 for his contributions to Hindustani instrumental music (Tabla), Sangeet Samman Award, awarded by the Doverlane Music Conference, Sankat Mochan Award and Vidya Vachaspati Award, received from Varanasi,  Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar Award,  received from Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, and he received the state award from the honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal, Smt. Mamata Banerjee.

Master musicians such as Pt. Debojyoti Bose and his students, vocalist Paromita Chakraborty, tabla soloist Gaurab Chakraborty, and flute player Pt. Sudip Chakraborty will perform on November 8 at NADAM.
