Heritage On Wheels: Vintage Car On Show In Club De Golf, Kolkata
Calcutta Taking Club in association with The EIMG and Club De Golf organized Vintage Car Fiesta. Mr. Debashis Sen – Chairman NKDA MD WBHIDCO, Dr. Amit Ghose – Founder of Calcutta Talking Club, veteran urologist and robotic surgeon, Mr. Shrivardhan Kanoria – President of EIMG, Ms. Akansha Pandey – the owner of Club De Golf and Mrs. Paromita Ghosh – Director of Candid Communication graced the event.
Calcutta Talking Club wants to inspire people in a way that should appeal to their hearts as much as their intellect. Dr. Amit Ghose, the founder of the Calcutta Talking Club, said, “I have always worked to restore the rich culture, and the vintage car itself is a fantastic mystery. A vintage car is a monstrous creature with a thousand adaptations. In Kolkata, these antique beauties are revered as family treasures. In contrast to other regions of India, Kolkata’s relationship with old vehicles is colored by this devotion in an unusual amateurish manner.
The one-day event featured a display of about 60 vintage cars. The vintage beauties were parked there so that fans could take selfies and photos. The 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom 1, the oldest automobile on display, and the other star of the exhibition, the 1931 Chevrolet Big 6, were the main draws among the historic cars. The display continues with further appealing vintage automobiles.
