#Homecoming is the opening film at the Gange Sur Seine film festival in Paris to be held between October 5th- October 8th at the Le Lincoln Cinemas followed by Toulouse at Le Cretere on October 27^th as part of the same film festival. The jury includes French cinema legends Mrs. Sophie Dulac, Mr.Nello Banfi, and Mr. Emmanuel Pierrat. 

The film is also the official selection at META Filmfest ( 8th-12th NOV) which is the only International Film Festival in Dubai.

London-based production and distribution company Moringa Entertainment owned by Munsur Ali, (Chairman, London City Corporation Culture, Heritage and Libraries Committees) is presenting special screenings of the film in the UK during October-November as part of the broader tie-up of Moringa and LOK for facilitating Indo-UK cultural collaborations.

Director Soumyajit Majumdar who is also the writer and producer of the film was ecstatic that his film is still getting such recognition even after one and a half years after its release as a direct-to-digital on Sonyliv. He also hoped that the unique style of the film would appeal to the French audience.

The plot revolves around a group of “friends” and “misfits” who had formed a popular but short-lived youth theatre group, who reunite for the first time in 7 years on an eventful Durga Pujo night at their old rehearsal space, a bungalow that is about to be converted by the Ganges into Kolkata’s first five-star heritage hotel.

The film stars Sayani Gupta, Hussain Dalal, Plabita Borthakur, Tushar Pandey, Soham Majumdar, and Tuhina Das in lead roles.

The director after this festival run will be back in December to start the pre-production of his next film.
