Human Rights & Social Security Meet For Unorganised Workers

More than 20,000 railway Mall Godam workers from all over West Bengal attended a large conference on Human Rights Awareness and Social Security for Unorganized Sector Workers– 2026 at Dunlop Maidan, Hooghly.
The meeting, which focused on social security and labor rights, was organized by BRMGSU and the Bharatiya Labour Union with assistance from SGT University and the Nomo Foundation.
“Dignity of labor cannot be protected without unity and legal awareness”, said BRMGSU President Dr. Parimal Kanti Mondal at the start of the program.
Priyank Kanoongo, an NHRC member, promised to address employee complaints.
At the conference’s conclusion, there was a renewed determination to strengthen the collective fight for the rights of unorganized workers.
