The opening of a 2,000 square foot brownfield dialysis facility in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, in partnership with Amrit Hospital, marks a significant milestone for NephroPlus, the largest dialysis service provider in Asia (Source: Frost & Sullivan Report, 2025), which has now reached 500 locations worldwide.

“We at NephroPlus are proud to have reached 500 clinics. This accomplishment is the result of our partners’ support, our guests’ trust, and our teammates’ daily motivation. For us, the 500 is a starting point rather than a finish line. We are redefining dialysis care in India and beyond by moving more quickly, serving more people, and setting higher goals,” said Mr. Rohit Singh, Group Chief Executive Officer, Nephrocare Health Services Limited.

NephroPlus‘s growth from a single clinic in Hyderabad in 2010 to over 500 clinics today is a testament to what Indian healthcare can achieve globally.

With 43 international clinics in Nepal, the Philippines, and Uzbekistan, in addition to collaborations in Saudi Arabia, it has expanded its model outside of India by copying its strategy of hospital partnerships, public-private partnerships (PPP), and cluster growth.

Brownfield prospects, which entail acquiring and running already-existing dialysis clinics managed by hospitals, non-profits, or other private providers wishing to outsource their dialysis operations, are another way NephroPlus is pursuing growth. With less initial capital outlay and quicker revenue realization, this approach permits quick expansion. NephroPlus may grow in urban and semi-urban areas, take advantage of local employees and facilities, and create operational synergies throughout its network by using the brownfield strategy.

By using a cluster-based strategy, NephroPlus has been able to effectively run clinics in tier II and tier III locations as well as non-metropolitan areas, increasing accessibility in rural and smaller towns. As of March 31, 2025, it operated 218 clinics in Tier III cities and 125 clinics in Tier II cities in India. The organization demonstrated its dedication to healthcare delivery and job creation by training 132 dialysis technicians and creating 1,642 jobs in tier II and tier III cities in Fiscal 2025 alone.
