Popular cookery show Fortune Rannabanna is returning in a new avatar on Star Jalsha with actress Aparajita Auddy becoming the anchor of the show.

Each episode of Rannabanna will feature one of Star Jalsha’s viewers as participants, who are being selected through an open audition process.

Aparajita Auddy said “I get nervous when I get a call from Shibu. So when he called, I was nervous. I picked up the call and he said about the show. I had not worked for 100 days and I was also skeptical about whether I should work in this situation. However after speaking with Zinia, I was a bit relaxed and I said yes. The applause that I received during the first day shoot made up for the fear that I felt before starting the shoot. It felt good to face the camera once again”.

Raktim will continue to feature in the show as the foodie son of Aparajita. “It is very difficult to say with whom I am having more fun. I had different kind of fun with Thammi and now I am having different kind of fun with my mother. But what I am enjoying the most is the great food that I can taste in the show” said the young actor.

Shiboprosad Mukherjee, producer-director of Windows said that people have been experimenting with their cooking during this lock down period. New recipes are being tried out by nearly all households. In the new season, newer recipes will be tried out and that will add to the flavor of this popular cookery show.

In the new avatar, Covid warriors will be seen participating in the show. Each episode will feature two contestants participating who will cook delicious dishes.

The new episodes of Rannabanna will be aired from 3^rd August 2020, Monday– Saturday 4:00 pm, only on Star Jalsha.
