“I Have Never Felt More Bengali Ever in My Life”- Kajol at Promotion of Helicopter Eela in Kolkata
“I have never felt more Bengali ever in my life. Maximum people in the unit were Bengali and our director used to give directions often in Bengali. I used to then raise my hands and ask for subtitles. But it was fun shooting for the film as the film was very co-operative” said Kajol at the press conference of Helicopter Eela.
Also present at the press conference was Riddhi Sen, Tota Roy Chowdhury and director Pradeep Sarkar.
The story of Eela is that of a single mother who aspires to become a singer. Her son is the typical youngster who does not want his mother’s life to revolve around him. Being an over-protective mother, she decides to join the same college where her son studies. This leads to a clash for invading the privacy of her son. What happens next?
Speaking at the event, Kajol said “I am more of the cool mother who is also protective of her kids. I try to balance my duties. I try to be cool and discuss things with my kids so that I can keep them aware of the things happening all around us”.
Tota Roy Chowdhury mentioned that when the director asked him to work with him and revealed the cast, he thought maybe Kajol was a new actress. Then when he understood that Kajol meant Bollywood actress Kajol, his joy knew no bounds. He felt like dancing. “I better not say anything about her. She is one of the finest actresses that I have had the privilege to work with in my career” said Tota Roy Chowdhury.
While speaking with the press, Kajol mentioned about the importance of space in a relationship. Whether it is the relationship between a mother and child or between husband and wife and so on, often you need to take a break and give the other person some space. Or else tensions build up and harm the relation.
When asked about how her husband Ajay Devgn reacted to her featuring in the song Ruk Ruk Ruk, the actress said “He is a man of less words and he just said I did a good job. He had nothing else to say. But I had fun shooting the song”.
The music of the film is by Amit Trivedi and Raghav Sachar. The film is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada (Pen).
The film is eyeing for release on 12th October 2018.
