Somudra Sen is an affluent, prominent, and power-hungry politician. He wants his only daughter Jhora to take over his position and continue his legacy. Mahargya is an intelligent and powerful strategist who has made contributions to the political success of Somudra Sen. Somudra Sen wants his daughter to get married to Mahargya for strengthening his legacy. Jhora is in love with Srot, who is a guy from a middle-class background. Jhora’s world is turned upside down when her father announces her marriage to Mahargya. What will happen to Jhora? Will she leave her career in politics or will she follow her heart? To know what happens to Jhora, audiences will have to watch Star Jalsha’s new serial Balijhor.
The press conference of the serial was graced by Leena Gangopadhyay, Saibal Banerjee, Trina Saha, Koushik Roy, and Indrasish Roy.
Jhora is played by Trina Saha. “Jhora is a girl who is very focused and has her heart in the right place. When I heard that I would be working with Koushik again, I was so happy. Many people even call me Gungun on the sets. Such has been the popularity of the characters that we played earlier. We hope that we can bring in the same level of charismas again through these characters” said the actress.
Mahargya is played by Koushik Roy. “I cannot reveal much about my character now as I do not know much about it. I play a political strategist in the serial. It will be interesting to see how my character shapes up as the serial progresses” said Koushik.
Srot is played by Indrasish Roy. “The character of Srot is very much different from Lalon whom I played in Dhulokona. I am looking forward to the reactions of the audience for my new role” said the actor.
Somudra Sen’s character is played by Bharat Kaul.

Leena Gangopadhyay is the writer, creative director, and producer of the show.
Saibal Banerjee is the director and producer of Balijhor. “We are very much careful that the showcasing of politics does not offend any political party. Any political aspect that we show in the serial has to be portrayed carefully. This is done so that no connections can be found with any political party” said Saibal Banerjee.
Balijhor will start airing from 6th February, Monday to Sunday at 6 pm only on Star Jalsha SD and HD.
