“There is so much matter in our literature on horror, yet not much is done in this genre in Bengali films. I like this genre and hence I have been making films and web series in this genre. My next two projects are also in this genre. Nikosh Chhaya will take the horror genre a step up from Parnashavarir Shaap” said Parambrata Chatterjee at the trailer launch of Nikosh Chhaya.

Also gracing the occasion were Gaurav Chakrabarty, Anindita Bose, and Surangana Bandyopadhyay.

Chiranjeet Chakrabarti was out of Kolkata so he could not be a part of this event.

Chiranjeet Chakrabarti returns to the character of Bhaduri Moshai, an occult teacher who becomes entangled in a terrifying mystery following a gory discovery in a sleepy town. Audiences will be captivated by Bhaduri Moshai’s struggle against the scary Aghori Bhanu as the plot develops.

The series will show a Tantrik with evil abilities, laying the groundwork for a titanic conflict between light and dark.

Nikosh Chhaya’s trailer is a breathtaking visual extravaganza. It creates a sense of suspense and mystery by expertly combining spooky images, moody lighting, and spine-tingling scenes. Because of the show’s careful presentation, viewers will be captivated from the very beginning.

Surangana Bandyopadhyay as Mitul, Gaurav Chakrabarty as Amiyo, Anindita

Bose as Titas, and Arna Mukhopadhyay as Pallab will be seen as pivotal characters.

Speaking at the event, Anindita Bose said “The series is a wonderful horror series and I am glad that I could again be a part of the second instalment. Directors often say that someone is a director’s actor. But Parambrata Chatterjee is an actor’s director. He is amazingly clear about what he wants. It becomes easy to work with him”.

Gaurav Chakrabarty recalled how in 2023, the same team held a press conference at Basu Bati for Parnashavarir Shaap. He hoped that more such seasons would come and they could release it on Bhoot Choturdoshi every year.

Surangana was full of praise for the director and the cast. She wished to be a part of this series in the coming times too.

The new series will premiere on Bhoot Choturdoshi (31st October), exclusively on hoichoi.
