The trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film Clown was graced by director Rik Chatterjee, Om Sahani, and others.

Clown is a crime thriller. There are elements of thrill and mystery in every frame, as is evident from the trailer. The audiences will be in for some great suspense in this film.

The story is about a simple boy who has been always wronged in his life. His sister was raped in front of his eyes. His mother was also the victim of injustice. His only identity is now as a bastard. He has nothing else to lose and it is then that his inner revolting spirit comes to the forefront. What happens next?

Om said “The trailer shows every individual has two sides to their personality. One is the bright side and the other is the dark side. When a person suppresses his/her anger or pain due to family or societal issues for a long time, it is expressed at some point or the other. This emotion when it comes out is immense as this is the result of suppressed emotions over a long time”.

The director clearly mentioned that this is not inspired by any films like Joker. He said that there are enough stories around and there was no need for him to copy from any other film.

Om praised the director for actually thinking him fit to be cast in this role. “I never thought that I will be able to portray a character with a Multi-disorder personality. However, the director thought that I will be able to pull this off. I thank him for keeping so much trust and faith in my acting abilities” added the actor.

Apart from Om, Devlina Kumar will be seen in an important role in the film. Producer Indranil Chowdhury will be seen in the role of a police officer.

The film is eyeing for release in June.
