IBSA Organized Panel Discussion On The Book Work 3.0
Indo British Scholars’ Association (IBSA) in association with The Bengal Club and the University of Birmingham organized a panel discussion on the book ‘Work 3.0’ with authors Mr. Avik Chanda (Author, columnist, and business advisor) and Mr. Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay (Author, Professor of Economics at the University of Birmingham) at The Bengal Club.
Other eminent panelists comprised Mr. Joydeep Datta Gupta (Partner, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP), Mrs. Barsha Sanyal (Partner and General Manager, PwC SDC), and Dr. Sandip Chatterjee (Neurosurgeon and Moderator). The event was attended by members of IBSA, The Bengal Club. and other eminent personalities.
What will the future of the worker, workplace, and work itself look like? This and some of the other most important and challenging issues of the modern day are addressed head-on in Work 3.0. Avik Chanda and Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay present a rich multi-disciplinary brew that spans economics, statistics, public policy, history, sociology, psychology, law, political science, literature, and philosophy using rigorous research supported by industry reports, business case studies, expert interviews, anecdotes, and their own personal expertise and insights. This book, which was written as the definitive guide for preparing for the future of work, is crucial reading for these uncertain and precarious times.
In his welcome speech, IBSA President Subrata Paul emphasized the significance of the workplace of the future in the context of globalization and technological development. As the guest of honor, Dr. Debanjan Chakraborty, Director of the British Council East and North East, discussed difficulties in the changing workplace. Dr. Sandip Chatterjee did a good job of moderating the panel discussion, and some insightful debate on the future of the workplace, the impact of digitization, and the significance of mental health at work resulted.
