ICC’s Debut Marathon Run To Celebrate Its 100 Years

The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) commemorated its 100th anniversary with the Centenary Marathon Run 2025 on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Mohammedan Sporting Club. The event brought together professional athletes, corporate leaders, and fitness enthusiasts to promote sportsmanship and well-being.

The event was flagged off by Jyotirmoyee Sikdar, Former MP and Olympian with two Asian Games gold medals, Pranati Das, Gymnast, Devlina Kumar, Actress, Dr Sutapa Roy, Principal, Vidyasagar College for Women, and Md. Iqbal, Model. 

The marathon had two race categories—an 11 KM Run for professional athletes and a 3.5 KM Run open to participants aged 18 to 60.

Winners across both categories received cash prizes. In the 11 KM men’s race, Mostafa Molla secured the top spot, winning ₹20,000, followed by Pritam Das (₹15,000) and Romit Ghosh (₹10,000).

In the women’s division, Rimpi Devi claimed first place with ₹20,000, with Chandrima Mishra (₹15,000) and Dipannita Roy (₹10,000) finishing second and third.

For the 3.5 KM race, Ambuj Tiwari won the men’s category, earning ₹10,000, while Kuldip Tiwari (₹7,000) and Sayan Kr Das (₹5,000) took second and third place.

In the women’s division, Sharmistha Sinhababu claimed first place, winning ₹10,000, followed by Isha Mondal in second place with ₹7,000, and Muskan Jain in third place with ₹5,000.

The ICC Centenary Marathon demonstrated the chamber’s commitment to fostering a fitness culture, which is consistent with its century-long history of leadership and progress.
