IEM Celebrates Special Talents At International Olympiad
The International Olympiad prize distribution ceremony was hosted by the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (IEM-UEM group), in collaboration with the SMART Society, USA, and the Rotary Club of Salt Lake Silicon Valley. The Institute of Engineering & Management’s Management House campus in Kolkata served as the venue for the event.
The event included talks, a project showcase, an award presentation, and an exhibition of scientific posters highlighting cutting-edge technology applications and creative content. During the event, 108 awards, medals, and rank certificates were given out.
For grades 1 through 12, the international olympiads included science, math, and English. In January 2024, 36 Olympiads were held, with about a thousand students from 14 different nations and several Indian states taking part.
Students from various classes participated and won prizes from prominent West Bengal institutions such as Birla High School, South Point School, Garden High School, St. Thomas Day School, and DAV Model School IIT Kharagpur.
The event was graced by Dr. Arun Kumar Bar, Principal, IEM Salt Lake, Dr. Prabir Kumar Das, HOD, Basic Science and Humanities Department, Dr. Samapika Das Biswas, Counsellor and Assistant HOD, Basic Science and Humanities Department, Dr. Subhajit Kar, HOD, Electrical Engineering Department, Dr. Dwaipayan De, HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department, and Dr. Tina De, Assistant HOD, Basic Science and Humanities Department, and other eminent personalities.
The event showcased the creativity and talent of students from various age groups.
