IKSFF 2025 Concludes With A Great Award Distribution Ceremony

The International Kolkata Short Film Festival (IKSFF 2025) which was organized this year is in its fifth year. The festival ran for six days from the 21st  to the 26th of January. The festival has gained popularity among the audience over the years.

There were submissions from the USA, China, Switzerland, Norway, and others. About 250 films from 30 countries were screened at this festival.

The genres of the films were kids, women-centric, societal, and many others.

The films could be screened online as well as offline.

On the concluding day of the film festival, many eminent guests graced the occasion. Among them were Anirban Bhattacharya, Monami Ghosh, Anuradha Mukherjee, Phalguni Chatterjee, Jaya Seal, Nabarun Bose, and others.

The Late Jiban Guha Memorial Award was presented to Anuradha Mukherjee.

For the music video of Manikbabur Megh, the Best Singer award was presented to Anirban Bhattacharya. “I have never learned to sing professionally. Acting is something that I have learned. Hence getting the Best Singer award is a bit embarrassing for me. However, I am glad that the audience liked it” said Anirban.

The Best short films were Rang from India and North from China.

Apart from film screenings, there were master classes and seminars as well.

The organizers Sourav Chakraborty, Festival Chairman, and Saswati Guha Chakraborty, Festival Director expressed their happiness at the great response that they received from the audience.
