Different artists go abroad every year during the Durga Puja to perform for the NRI audience. And Iman Chakraborty went to Canada this Durga Puja where she mesmerized the audiences with her musical capabilities.

Iman Chakraborty‘s musical tour in Canada captured the hearts of audiences amid the splendor of Durga Puja. This unique tour was arranged by Probaashe Bangali Adda, a recognized non-profit organization, and took place in five different cities: Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, and London. Iman’s songs captivated Canadian audiences, particularly the younger demographic. The tour made a deep impression on the audience with its flawless fusion of Bengali music, culture, and feelings.

It was difficult to alter Canada’s traditional cultural landscape during Durga Puja. Usually, well-known performers from the US and Kolkata take part in these events. Nevertheless, Probaashe Bangali Adda saw a need in this area and decided to close it. Probaashe Bangali Adda surmounted these challenges by carefully arranging and organizing musical performances in several locations, even though Canada has fewer Durga Puja celebrations and the provinces are geographically separated, making it challenging to create a full-fledged tour. Last year, the “Somlata and the Aces” tour launched this effort, and it was a huge success. Iman Chakraborty’s trip this year carried on that momentum and was well received, especially by the younger Bengali expat population.

Probaashe Bangali Adda’s main objective is to advance Bengali arts and culture in Canada. Events showcasing well-known Bengali performers, such as Iman Chakraborty, were planned nationwide with this goal in mind, and audiences in every city responded overwhelmingly. Notably, Iman was particularly well-liked by the younger generation. Bengalis living abroad were able to connect with their cultural heritage and the warmth of Bengali love via his songs. Bengali music and culture have a profound impact not only in Bangladesh and India but also in other countries, as seen by the packed houses in every city.
