The book launch of “In Search Of A Better Life” was graced by the author, Dr. Sayantani Bhattacharjee, actor and author Barun Chanda, gynaecologist Dr. Gouri Kumra, journalist, editor, MD, Tales Talks Walks, Saheli Mitra, edupreneur and founder-director, Universal Education Equity Foundation, Dr. Bratati Bhattacharyya, and others.

The launch of the book took place at Oxford Bookstore, Park Street.

The book focuses on the real-life story of a doctor whose mission in her life since her medical college days has been to take affordable medical services to the last mile. The great vision and healthcare enterprises in the last mile are relevant in contemporary India to connect the remotest villages and semi-urban localities where affordable private healthcare facilities are still lacking.

The book showcases the medico-entrepreneurial journey of how she established Better Life. It is a chain of affordable high-end medical facilities in the remote areas of India.

Barun Chanda said, “I think through this journey of setting up Better Life, the author discovered her mission in her life. It is a journey of self-discovery. The state of health care in the rural and remote areas is a joke in our state. And having a good facility like Better Life in such remote and rural areas is a boon for the people residing there”.
