Indian Chamber Of Commerce Announces Its Chapter In J&K
Mr. Khalid Wani has been appointed by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) as the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir State Council. A key component of ICC’s comprehensive strategy to prioritize and enhance business operations in the area is this appointment. For the last three decades, ICC has already operated in the northeastern part of India.
From its founding in 1925 in Calcutta, now Kolkata, ICC has been a trailblazer in promoting commerce and propelling economic growth in India. Its legacy spans 98 years. At the moment, the organization is active in eleven major Indian cities, including Guwahati, Patna, Ranchi, Siliguri, Agartala, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Guwahati.
As Senior Director of Western Digital, Mr. Khalid Wani is currently in charge of the company’s activities throughout South Asia and India. He is a key member of the six-person India Leadership Committee and is in charge of the region’s sizable 3000+ research, development, and engineering facility. Mr. Wani is a TEDx speaker and a known thought leader in the field, as recognized by Forbes. He is also listed among the top 10 tech executives in the area by DT India and Channel Middle East.
Mr. Wani participates actively in the Kashmiri entrepreneurial development organization, working with people from different industries to support the startup scene in the area. Well-known for his love of riding and long trips, he has visited more than 45 nations.
The appointment of Mr. Khalid Wani signifies a noteworthy advancement in their dedication to cultivating robust commercial relationships within the area. The ICC will be crucial in advancing Jammu and Kashmir’s economic development under his direction.
