InDriver, a California-based international ride-hailing platform, is preparing to launch its services in Kolkata. InDriver aims to make it a transparent business model for both passengers and drivers, with zero surges and zero payment for service. It is the only app that allows users to haggle over the price of a cab ride before booking it in real-time.

InDriver, unlike other ride-hailing apps, aims to provide a unique service by allowing passengers and drivers to negotiate the price of the ride. If the passenger receives multiple offers, they can choose one based on the driver’s estimated arrival time, price, vehicle model, and driver rating. The driver can also choose a specific order based on the price and distance, the passenger’s rating, the pick-up location, and the customer’s previous inDriver trips.

inDriver is a service that connects drivers and passengers and allows them to independently agree on all trip terms. The app allows passengers to offer their price and receive counter-offers from nearby drivers. Drivers, on the other hand, have the freedom to choose which ride requests are most appropriate for them and to set their own prices. Passengers will pay Rs.140 via the app to travel from New Market to Alipore, and Rs.230 via the app to travel from Kyd Street to VIP Bazar.

To book a ride, simply download the app, enter points A and B, the fare you want to pay, and select your driver. It’s easy and quick. inDriver puts control back in the hands of the user. Passengers can choose the best driver for them based on their priorities: fare, driver rating, and estimated arrival time. It is India’s only ride-hailing app that allows passengers to suggest a fare for a specific route. Nearby drivers are given the fare and route information and have the option of accepting it or haggling for more money.

Passengers are then presented with multiple offers from drivers and can choose the best one based on factors such as fare amount, driver ratings, and vehicle type. The driver, on the other hand, has the option of selecting only the most profitable trips and making a counteroffer to the passenger, which no other service provides.

Currently, there are over 4000 registered drivers. All of the driver-partners have extensive experience and have gone through the entire document verification process. Users can now enjoy higher chances of getting a ride with shorter wait times and avoid surged fares during peak periods thanks to the launch of inDriver in Kolkata.
