At its yearly fashion graduating exhibition, Aiyanna 2023, Whistling Woods International (WWI) School of Fashion celebrated an exceptional display of innovation and sustainability. The 7th edition of the event drew in a crowded room of business leaders, distinguished guests, and parents of the graduating class.

The graduating students displayed their magnificent collections, which were inspired by many different facets of life. To fit the theme of “Eclectica”, each student merged personal experiences with a range of topics, from an array of breath-taking natural colors to futuristic notions. This year’s graduating class has done everything possible to produce a large body of varied, evocative, and technically difficult work, including creating Indian drapes inspired by the moon, gaming based on the afterlife, Tamil culture and heritage, Alice in Wonderland, and a tribute to COVID heroes. By experimenting with uncommon materials, creative textile applications, and the integration of non-textile components including fibers, silicone, and resin art, the students demonstrated an astounding array of inventions, showing diversity and originality.

The designs created by the kids at Aiyanna 2023 broke with tradition and offered a fresh take on clothes. The transformative connections that had such a significant impact on the designers’ personal growth were brilliantly captured in the collections. Aiyanna 2023 offered a platform for personal inspiration as well as knowledge on critical societal issues. Through their own collections, many students fearlessly spoke out against body shaming, beauty standards, and prejudice against people of all sizes and skin tones.

The AngelXpress Foundation’s Aastha Prajapati, who proudly walked the ramp as a shining example of WWI’s commitment to cultivating meaningful association with various NGOs to offer a platform for aspiring talents, irrespective of the social-economic divide, was the main highlight of this year’s show.

The audience was in awe of the students’ extraordinary talent, creative designs, and dedication to sustainable practices. Aiyanna 2023 was a great success.
