A session on empowering budding women entrepreneurs titled Inspiration was organized recently.

The inauguration was done in the presence of Vikash Agarwal, Senior Vice President, ICC, Dr Rupali Basu, Usha Uthup, Minu Budhia, Vandana Yadav, Sadhan Pande, Hon’ble Minister, Department of Self Help Group and Self Employment, Government of West Bengal and others.

Speaking at the event, Usha Uthup said “Be yourself and then you will be noticed by others. Don’t try to copy others. When I started singing, I was noticed because of my dressing sense and also because of the fact that my voice was different from the other singers of my time. My voice was different and hence I was asked to give my voice for cabaret singers. So it is important to be yourself”.

Dr Rupali Basu highlighted on the fact that women entrepreneurs need to come forward and take their business stories to the wider audience. With the help of such stories, other women will be motivated.

Vikash Agarwal highlighted on the fact that bakery, clothing were some of the sectors in which women entrepreneurs succeeded in making a mark of their own.

A session on mentor and mentee and a session on success stories were organized.

The best business ideas were also felicitated at the event.
