A press conference was organized by the International Society of Waste Management, Air and Water (ISWMAW), Kolkata.

The main mission is Catch Them Young-Campus Zero Waste Management and Circular Economy.

Prof. Sadhan Kumar Ghosh graced the press conference.

Children are the future. Hence it is important to shape their attitudes properly. They must be well informed about the environment and how our actions affect it. Hence, there is a need for school and college students to learn about effective waste management techniques, circular economy, and resource efficiency.

Through this mission, the institutions will move towards sustainable development, creating awareness, and guiding them.

Some of the schools participating in this initiative are The Heritage School, Jadavpur High School, Green Park School, Bishnupur High School, Nadia, Baranagar Mohan Girls’ High School, Chandaneswar High School, and many more.

The methodology involved by the participating educational institutions is the Bin system. Green bin is for storing biodegradable wastes, and food waste. The white or blue bin is for storing dry wastes. The red bin is for storing e-waste.

The movement will try to develop the Bin Culture among the students and also implement the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).
