Jisshu Sengupta set out on a promotional tour for their new web series The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon in Kolkata, along with the director Suparn S. Varma. In addition to promoting their online series, they dined at Mocambo, their favorite restaurant.

For Noyonika and her family, a single decision determined their fate and began a path of upheaval. The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha follows Noyonika’s journey as she sets out on a voyage that genuinely prepares her to withstand the test of time in the wake of her husband’s treachery, caught in a web of decisions. The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha, a somber courtroom drama on Disney+ Hotstar, features this compelling trial of life as Noyonika manages the curveballs life throws at her.

“I feel great returning to my city and promoting a show that is not in Bangla but rather in Hindi and receiving the same excitement. When I visit Kolkata, all of my memories suddenly come flooding back, especially now that the rains have returned and I have memories of having fun in them.  The nicest thing is that I get to see my kids, especially the younger one because I spend the majority of my time in Mumbai and Hyderabad due to work. Suparn is in my city to promote The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha, and it’s amazing to have him here. I can’t wait to hear what the viewers think of the show” said Jisshu Sengupta.

The show stars Padma Shri awardee, Kajol as Noyonika Sengupta along with Sheeba Chaddha, Jisshu Sengupta, Alyy Khan, Kubbra Sait, and Gaurav Pandey in key roles.

Director Suparn S. Varma said, “Kolkata has been a love affair for the majority of my life. The people, the food, the music, and visiting different workplaces, whether they be TV channels or radio stations, were all very delightful to experience when I returned to the city. I can’t wait to be back! In Kolkata, there is a lot of anticipation for The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha, and I am looking forward to hearing from everyone after the show airs”.
