The song Jahajbosti Trending from the upcoming Bengali film Bhotbhoti was released in the presence of director Tathagata Mukherjee, Bibriti Chatterjee, Rishav Basu, Debleena Dutt, Porshia Sen, and others.

Also gracing the occasion were children from the slum, whose lives were the inspiration behind the characters in the film.

Tathagata Mukherjee said “The main thing about the song is that it did not have any synchronized steps. Everyone was dancing to their heart’s content. The film was a kind of celebration and this song showcased that. Monu Mukherjee who is no longer alive can be seen having fun and even dancing in the song. That is the beauty of cinema. These memories remain”.

The director was a bit skeptical about the reaction of the audience once the film releases. This is simply because people are looking forward to the film and the kind of film that they are anticipating might not match this one. The director however added that they will love the technical parts of the film.

The song has been sung by Kinjal Chatterjee and Porshia Sen. The song has been written by Ritam Sen.

The composer of the song is Mayookh Bhaumik. Speaking about the song, the music composer said “Whenever I am asked to compose music, it is either for serious or romantic songs. However this time I got a celebratory song. It gave me the chance to play many musical instruments unlike in romantic or serious songs. It was a great experience composing the song and I hope the audience enjoys it”.

“We had great fun while shooting the song. There was abir and we were all smeared in it. Suddenly it started raining and we danced to our heart’s content. The energy you see in the song is true. We had mud on our clothes and feet but that did not deter our spirit” said Debleena Dutt.

Bibriti Chatterjee said, “The energy in this song is fantastic. It will be a good song for Durga Puja for sure. One can dance to their heart’s content at puja bhasan to the tunes of this song”.

The entire team danced with the kids at the event and Porshia has sung the song live at the event.

The film is slated for release on 11^th August.
