Director Anuraag Pati’s film Prapti (Receipt) was screened at the 27^th Kolkata International Film Festival. The director along with Samadarshi Dutta, Pratyusha Majumder, and others graced the press conference for the film.

Shoma and Sunanda, who have been married for almost a year, are the protagonists of the story. Sunanda works for the forest department in the town of ‘Bari,’ in the state of ‘Bihar.’ As a result, Shoma has no choice but to stay in the area. Shoma, on the other hand, appears to be unconcerned about anything in her family. Nothing can make her forget about ‘Bedey da,’ her true love. Shoma keeps writing letters to Bedey da, but no one responds. Bedey da shows up unannounced at Sunanda’s house one day to meet Shoma. Shoma’s mind is filled with an inexplicable joy. “Prapti” is about the moments created that day by these two pure souls.

The director said “Due to the pandemic, Buddhadeb Guha could not come to the script reading sessions. However, we used to tell him over the phone and he used to approve by listening to it. He also said that since he could not see it, he wanted a DVD of the film. It will help him to understand how the film has been made. However, we could not show him the film and I feel saddened to hear that. His urge to see the film even by listening to it motivated us to make the film with more passion”.

The director of the film is Anuraag Pati and the story is by Buddhadeb Guha.

The cast of the film includes Samadarshi Dutta, Pratyusha Roslin, Debdut Ghosh, and Ananya Pal Bhattacharya.

Samadarshi Dutta said, “I want to thank the audience at the festival for showering so much love on the film. I will also like to thank the cast and crew of the film for working so hard to make this fabulous film”.

The music of the film has been composed by Sravan Bhattacharya. The songs have been sung by Rekha Bharadwaj and Amrita Singh. The lyrics have been penned by Ritam Sen.
