As the Indian Bank marked its 118th Foundation Day and India’s 78th Independence Day, the Indian Bank reflected on the rich history of the nation and its commitment to India’s progress and development. Shri. S L Jain, Managing Director & CEO of Indian Bank, raised the national flag at the Indian Bank Corporate Office in Royapettah as well as the Registered Head Office at 66 Rajaji Salai in Chennai. The Event gave the ambiance a tinge of patriotism.

To further commemorate its 118th Foundation Day, Indian Bank organized a Vintage Car Rally and Flag March from Leela Palace to Indian Bank Academy for Growth and Excellence (IMAGE), MRC Nagar.

The event witnessed distinguished athletes who represented our country in the Olympics namely S. Thirumalvalavan, V.R. Dinesh Nayak, and V Jayalakshmi amongst others.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jain honored the warriors and freedom fighters who gave their lives to ensure our country’s independence. He thought about India’s remarkable journey, which was characterized by fortitude, advancement, and an unwavering spirit. He went on to say that the Indian Bank is committed to driving financial inclusion, strengthening communities, and guiding our country toward a more promising and prosperous future.

Indian Bank highlighted its commitment to social responsibility with significant efforts, adding to the festive mood. The bank gave visually challenged pupils at The Little Flower Convent Higher Secondary School for the Blind in Chennai the necessary resources to promote their education and independence, such as Braille styluses, mobility canes, arithmetic type sets, and JAWS software. Further demonstrating its commitment to community welfare, the Indian Bank expanded its CSR efforts to benefit the sanitary workers of Ward 119 of the Greater Chennai Corporation by giving raincoats for the workers and school bags, notebooks, and stationery supplies for their kids.
