On the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra, Starmanch, a well-known name in the Bengali music community, will release a new song Jagannath Ashtakam.

The music arrangement of the song is done by Upali Chattopadhyay and the song has been sung by Jayati Chakraborty and Abhijit Mishra from Orissa.

Shri Jagannath Ashtakam was composed by Adi Sankracharya in praise of Lord Jagannath on his visit to Puri. The most important of hymns of Lord Jagannath, the Ashtakam was recited by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu on his visit to Jagannath temple. The merit of reciting the sacred Jagannath Ashtakam carefully is such that, one becomes sinless and pure-hearted and gains entrance to Vishnuloka.

The song Jagannath Ashtakam will be a celebration for the devotees of Jagannath and a treat for music lovers. Starmanch arranges one or the other events every month be it from a folk music concert to the launch of the Nazrul Geeti album which was loved by people of all ages and received a tremendous response from the audience.

This song will be released on 19th June 2023 over Starmanch Youtube Channel.
