The music launch of Johny Bonny took place in the presence of the cast and crew of the series.

Janardan Das, also known as Johny, is a rookie police officer with dreams of becoming a successful investigating officer. He actually finds work as a security cover for Promod Sen, a powerful politician whose wife Suroma claims to adore Johny as her own son. In addition, Johny is allowed to work primarily as a house helper, buying groceries for the family or walking their daughter’s dog on a daily basis, despite Pramod’s objections. To maintain his pride, Johny must continually lie to his wife Ankhi about his obligations.

Bonny, Ankhi’s thirteen-year-old nephew, runs away from his Durgapur home in the meantime and arrives at Janardan’s house in Kolkata to take part in a chess competition. Like Tom & Jerry, Johny and Bonny’s relationship is complicated. Johny is a traditionalist who thinks kids should pay attention to adults. Bonny firmly believes that children can be smarter and more logical than adults in today’s world. Every time Johny tries to tell Ankhi one of his made-up stories from while he was on duty, Bony calls them outright lies.

Three armed intruders attempt to break into Promod’s home, but things take a crazy turn when Johny, displaying incredible bravery despite being shot, resists them. As part of his investigation, Johny learns that Promod Sen’s daughter has been missing since the incident. Johny learns during the investigation that the attack was carried out by some very strong individuals, and his department is actually reluctant to crack the case.

Bonny’s chess tournament starts at the same time. Johny doesn’t want that, despite Bonny’s eagerness to assist him.

Will Johny be successful in cracking his first case? Will Bonny be able to show his mettle by triumphing in the chess competition?

Speaking about his character, Debasish Mondal said “With this character, the director has not tried to glorify police officers. They are also human beings. They also have their set of flaws. Society is changing continuously. Janardhan Das is a voice who tries to protest against the injustices in his own way. He uses his brains more to solve issues than muscle power”.

The story, screenplay, and direction are by Abhijit Chowdhury.

The music has been composed by Akib Hayat.

The cast of the series consists of Debasish Mondal, Swastika Dutta, Ankit Majumder, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Pushpita Mukherjee, Suvosmita Mukherjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Judhajit Sarkar, Lokenath Dey, Jayati Chakraborty, Abhyuday Dey, and Tushita Banerjee.

The new web series is produced by Milky Way Films and will be streamed on Klikk.
