Like every other year, Colors Bangla has come up with a Mahalaya special event on this auspicious day. Titled Jayang Dehi, the program will be aired on Monday at 5 am and will continue till 7 am on Colors Bangla.

Ma Manasha’s sons are tricked by Indra Dev into harassing the sages and their wives residing in Daruk Bon. Chandi is forced to punish Manasha for the actions of her sons, and takes away all of Manasha’s powers. Bramha tells Manasha the story of the King of Surot. The king was defeated by all his enemies. He had then prayed to the formless Goddess Shakti and by her blessings had managed to turn his bad luck into good luck. Taking inspiration from this story, Manasha meditates to Chandi. Chandi then narrates to Manasa the tale of Mahalaya and how she came to be. She also shows her the way as to how she can further her own destiny by following the lessons learnt from Chandi’s Mahalaya experience. Manasha is told by Chandi that there is both good and evil in the universe and this is also present within us too. Manasha has to face and conquer the evil within her to gain back her powers.

Chandni Saha plays the role of Manasha and Aditi Chatterjee plays the role of Chandi in this special Mahalaya special program.
