Jhulanjatra Music Festival Featured Mindblowing Musical Performances
Hindu god Krishna and goddess Radha are honored during the festival popularly known as Jhulan Purnima, Jhulan Yatra, or Hindola. It is widely observed by the Hindu Vaishnava sect during the month of Shravana, which falls during India’s monsoon season.
A 5-day long Jhulanjatra Music Festival 2023 took place at the house of Ramkanai Adhicary’s Jhulan Bari in Bowbazar (27th-31st August 2023). It is a 200-year-old tradition. Renowned music personalities participated in the festival and mesmerized the audiences with their performances.
Day 1 performances- Souravbrata Chakraborty, Koushambi Mukherjee
Day 2 performances- Sagar Morankar, Partha Pratim Roy
Day 3 performances- Vidushi Anjana Nath
Day 4 performances- Atish Mukhopadhyay, a disciple of veteran Ustad Ashish Khan
Day 5 performances- Vidushi Shobha Choudhary
