Actors Jisshu Sengupta and Saurav Das recently announced their new production house- Why So Serious Films.

Their journey began with becoming teammates on the cricket field.

However, the biggest highlight is the joining of eminent director Mahesh Bhatt to this production house. Mahesh Bhatt said, “Jisshu is like my son. When he says something, I agree with him. Actors like him are few. Hence, I wanted to be a part of this new initiative. I will go to Kolkata frequently now. The audience will get to see soon what Jisshu and Saurav want to produce”.

From films to songs, the production house will present the audience with amazing forms of entertainment.

Jisshu Sengupta said, “Saurav and I have opened this new production house. The proposal was given by Saurav. When two actors come together, often friction arises. We have discussed the possible causes of problems. However, Saurav is a sorted guy and he knows what he wants from life. We have the same goal, but our ways are different. We both like Batman’s Joker. We initially thought of naming the house as Joker or something similar to it. Then we came up with the famous dialogue of Joker- Why So Serious?”

Saurav Das said that the films produced under their house will not always have him or Jisshu Sengupta. The casting will be done on the basis of the content of the film. They will try to give a platform to newcomers. They want to produce everything from films to OTT to music videos. The production house will only provide good content to the audience.

With the joining of Jisshu and Saurav as producers, the Bengali entertainment industry surely got a new lease of hope.
