Creative director and writer, Leena Gangopadhyay and actress Indrani Halder was present at a special event organized by Star Jalsha to promote their new serial Sreemoyee on Star Jalsha.

The new serial Sreemoyee is the story of an ordinary housewife who is the flag bearer of the philosophy “Nije Paltalei Sob Paltabe” and become a real change agent. Her family consists of her husband and her three children. The eldest son Ankush is a doctor by profession, Pratyush, the younger son is a graduate and Dithee is her youngest daughter and a high school student.

Sreemoyee never thought of finding her own identity. Her own family takes her for granted. She then embarks on a new journey to create an identity for herself. Will Sreemoyee be able to rebuild herself?

Sreemoyee’s role will be enacted by Indrani Halder who will be working for the first time with Star Jalsha with this serial.

“Whether you are a working woman or a housewife, we are all Sreemoyee in our respective lives. We are all at some point in our lives are taken for granted. With the help of this show, it will be shown how the lady of the house will fulfil her dreams and also show to the family that she is much more than a wife and a mother” said the actress.

Leena Gangopadhyay while speaking about the show mentioned that the show’s story is taken from real life incidents. “This is not a piece of fiction but a slice of our life. The fact that the effort of the housewives are not taken into account by the family members has been mentioned in the serial. People will love watching the serial” said Leena Gangopadhyay.

Her husband’s role will be played by Sudip Mukherjee and Ushasie Chakraborty plays the role of Sudip’s colleague.

The show is from the house of Magic Moments Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd.

The new show will begin from 10th June, Monday to Sunday at 7 pm only on Syar Jalsha SD and Star Jalsha HD.
