The music album launch of the upcoming Bengali film Rosogolla took place at South City Mall.

Present at the occasion was director Pavel, Nandita Roy, Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Ujaan Ganguly, Abantika Biswas, Chiranjeet Chakraborty, Anupam Roy, Bidipta Chakraborty and others.

There are seven songs in the film. “I am missing Kalikaprasad da today. He worked religiously with me to make the soundscape of the film. I have never heard or seen a musician who can work with a director so diligently to make a sound manuscript that will fit the film so well. I am always indebted to him for his great work for this film” said director Pavel.

Bidipta Chakraborty plays the role of Nobin Chandra Das’s mother in the film. “He gets the spirit and courage from his mother. She was a widow and she had to face many troubles in her life. But that did not deter her spirit and she continued fighting against all odds. She always asked her son to continue with the work despite everything” said the actress.

Abantika who plays Khirodmoni in the film said “The character that I play in the film is so similar to me. It was a great experience playing someone with whom I could identify myself so much. As regards the songs in the film, I like them all. Sometimes Golla Golla plays in my mind, sometimes Tapur Tupur and so on”.

The music launch ceremony also saw the spirited performances by the singers who sang the songs from the film.

The film is eyeing for release on the 21^st of December.
