Kalki Koechlin Added Oomph As Showstopper For Dusk Collection
Abhishek Sharma ventured into the world of fine jewelry when he was looking for an unusual source of inspiration for his “Dusk” collection. It was presented at Lakmé Fashion Week in association with FDCI.
The Royal family of Rajasthan’s Prince of Karauli entered with dignity as he opened the show in a traditional yet contemporary bandgala-style jacket and matching pants.
Ensembles with spectacular vivid colors and contrasts of fine gold metal thread and beautiful hand needlework projected an image of flamboyant majesty. Abhishek made sure the colors he used matched the tone of the clothing because the visual presentation was so spectacular. Rich gold flashes shimmered with brilliant green, lovely rose pink, seductive midnight blue, bright orange, and the perennially fashionable Indian red.
When glass-beaded strings and metallic embroidered leaves flowed together to create a gorgeous feast of gold and sun colors on the ramp, embellishments were in harmony with the color theme. Abhishek used innovative construction techniques and opulent draperies while keeping zero-waste patternmaking in mind.
As the beaded strings were the main feature of the opulent look, men’s clothing adopted the style of suits, tunics, and jackets.
Bollywood diva Kalki Koechlin finished the show in a gorgeous, heavily, embellished, backless, crimson carpet gown with an opulent trail, a slit up the thigh, and seductive beading strings.
Designer Abhishek Sharma’s collection, “Dusk,” was a big fashion offering that checked all the necessary boxes for being the preferred option of trendsetters.
