Kalkokkho Screened At 27th KIFF Is A Cinematic Experience Around Time-Loop
Kalkokkho directed by Rajdeep Paul and Sarmistha Maiti was screened at the 27th Kolkata International Film Festival. The press conference was graced by the director duo and producer Anjan Bose.
The story is set against the backdrop of a contagious pandemic. An adept doctor is taken hostage by a young woman inhabited by three women. The three women are a paranoid young woman, a lonely young girl, and an amnesic old woman. The doctor understands that he might be trapped not only in space but also in time.
“Kalkokkho is a cinematic experience around the concept of time-loop. There are elements of magic realism and existential horror to showcase the dread generated by the global pandemic” said Rajdeep Paul.
The music of the film has been composed by Avijit Kundu.
The cast of the film consists of Tannishtha Biswas (Mamoni), Janardan Ghosh (doctor), Sreelekha Mukherji (old Mamoni), Amit Saha (Lover), Ahana Karmakar (Mamoni), and Deep Sarkar (friend).
Producer Anjan Bose said that the film will be releasing soon. The release was postponed due to the start of the film festival.
The film has been produced by Aurora Film Corporation Pvt Ltd.
