In the august presence of Dr. Elankumaran, Head Liver Diseases and Transplant, Kauvery Group of Hospitals, Dr. Iyappan Ponnuswamy, Medical Director, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai, Dr. A. N. This center will provide consultations and treatments for people in the Eastern region by experienced doctors from Kauvery Hospital. The information center is located at Ballygunge Circular Road. Eminent doctors from the hospital will visit the information center on a regular basis for providing valuable consultations and second opinions to the patients in Bengal.

At the press conference, representatives from the hospital showcased successful cases of liver transplants in people from Kolkata.

Master Sreyansh Pramanik, son of farmer Subarno Pramanik, who was two years old was diagnosed with acute liver failure. He underwent surgery in February 2022 and his father was the donor for the child.

The second patient was Mrs. Ela Ray aged 63 and the third patient was Chanchal Basu aged 50 years.

The three patients were discharged seven days after getting the liver transplant.
