Kazi Nazrul Islam’s Poems Read In Bengali & Spanish On World Poetry Day

Poetry has been practiced historically in every culture and on every continent, speaking of our shared values and our shared humanity. Even the most basic poems can work as a strong spark for communication and peace. World Poetry Day, which is observed annually on March 21st, honors one of humanity’s most cherished forms of cultural and linguistic expression and identity.

Chhayanat (Kolkata) and La Casa de los Poliglotas organized a poetry reading session on the occasion of World Poetry Day at Tapaste, Kolkata.

Poems of different genres written by Kazi Nazrul Islam were read in both Bengali and Spanish to commemorate this special day.

The concept of this event was by Subhojit Roy.

The program was directed by Somerita Mallik (President of Chhayanat, Kolkata).

Souvik Sasmal, Tista De, and Debalina Chowdhury read the poems in Bengali.

Subhojit Roy read the Spanish version of the poems.

An engaging event on the occasion of World Poetry Day for sure.
